June 16th 2007 El Toro airfield in Irvine California was the setting for the 2nd American Gymkhana event.  In the hot June weather the drivers came from many different backgrounds from Drifters, Autocrossers, Rally and Time Attackers. The American Gymkhana once again hit its capacity to a sold out venue of drivers.  Saturday was a strong indication that the market is still healthy with motorsport enthusiast and people wanting to participate.  Gymkhana is fast becoming a proving ground for both driver and vehicle were they can share with the public and among their peers.  Among the participants Mitsubishi Motors brought out their ’08 Lancer, Local dealerships like Irvine Subaru came out to show their support and Hasport brought out their famous American Touge challenger & Time Attack Yellow “street” CRX.  With strong support from manufactures sponsors American Gymkhana is always striving to raise the bar to introduce a venue that balances a motorsport that drivers enjoy and an event that is friendly to spectators, making a fun and comfortable atmosphere.
